Rosemary Draganic
Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Rosemary was exposed to the commitments of a health care provider early in her life as the daughter of a general practitioner. Her father's impact on people's lives as a physician made an indelible impression.
After choosing a career in animal health care, she graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1995. Upon graduation, she began her practice of veterinary medicine at The Kingsway Animal Hospital. She has lived in the Etobicoke community with her family ever since. They share their home with a most lovable labrador retriever named Keene.
Though the challenge of medicine and surgery is always stimulating, it is the relationships she develops with her clients and patients that Rosemary values most of all.
Donia Eino
Dr. Donia Eino joined The Kingsway Animal Hospital in September of 2003 after graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in April of 2003. She also completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Guelph in April of 1999.
Dr Eino enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially appreciates her opportunity to enhance the special bond between people and their pets, by working with owners to acheive optimum health in all of her patients.
Outside of the hospital, Donia enjoys running, downhill skiing, horseback riding, piano, and taking scenic trips on a motorcycle.
Donia and her husband share their home with "Buell" and "Nami".
Geraldine Grieve
After completing a B.Sc. in Zoology at the University of Toronto, Geraldine continued her studies at the University of Guelph where she received her D.V.M. degree in 1991.
Upon graduation, she felt extremely fortunate to begin her veterinary career at The Kingsway Animal Hospital. "I received wonderful guidance and mentorship from Drs. Van Slyke and Bobson."
After some years doing emergency work and providing locum services throughout the greater Toronto area, she is happy to be a part of The Kingsway Animal Hospital team once again.
Dr. Grieve has been an Etobicoke resident for twenty years, where she lives with her husband and their wonderful cat Benjamin.
Wendy Van Slyke
A Toronto native, Dr. Van Slyke began her veterinary career volunteering with the Ontario Humane Society in Scarborough and with the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in North Toronto. She went on to receive her Honours Science Degree (1977) then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1981) from the University of Guelph, Ontario. After 3 years of locum and emergency work she settled into pet medicine and general surgery at The Kingsway Animal Hospital (1984).
Originally travellers to exotic places, Dr. Van Slyke and her husband now vacation in more conventional holiday destinations since the birth of their 2 sons. The family also presently enjoys 2 young cats Claudius and Caesar.
Dr. Van Slyke is an avid walker, swimmer, cross-country skier and sports fan (her sons). The family is happy to make Etobicoke their home and is actively involved in the local community.
Dr. Van Slyke very much enjoys being a people oriented veterinarian and as such welcomes the opportunity to enhance the human-animal bond for both new and returning patients.
Ronald Bobson
Dr. Bobson was born in Toronto, where he attended school, met and married his wife Vera.
After living in Nassau, Bahamas for five years, he returned to Canada to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian. He earned his BSc from the University of Guelph and his DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1975.
Upon graduation he set up practice at The Kingsway Animal Hospital (formerly Cameron Animal Hospital). He has been treating animals there for nearly 30 years. Ron is a member of several professional organizations and regularly attends conferences to keep abreast of the latest advances in veterinary medicine and surgery.
Ron's daughter and son grew up in the Kingsway area, and he actively participated in their leisure activities. In his spare time he has enjoyed playing hockey, curling, tennis and platform tennis and helped coach his son's hockey teams. His leisure time is now spent at the cottage where he enjoys woodworking, birding, hiking, snowshoeing, and canoeing.
His dog AVEY, a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, gives all the family great enjoyment with her antics in the water and snow. His wife's Siamese cat Shedder has never forgiven him for bringing "that dog" home.
Now retired and thoroughly enjoying his leisure, Dr. Bobson is often called upon for advice and guidance.
